About Me
Hi, my name's Liz and I'm a trauma-informed Integrative Counsellor and EMDR therapist.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Warwick and I have worked with several organisations including charities, EAP, Mind and the NHS.
I'm an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) which means that I'm a regulated professional working according to their ethical framework.
You can find out more about my qualifications and experience below.

How I Work
I can provide you with a safe, compassionate space to offload and make sense of difficult feelings, thoughts or behavioural patterns you might be noticing in yourself or your relationships.
It might be that you need to feel seen and heard by someone impartial, you might want to gain a deeper understanding of yourself through exploring past events and how these might be impacting you in the present or you might have experienced repeated or a one-off traumatic event that you would like to work through.
Through my training and experience I have developed an integrative approach in my practice; I will work with you collaboratively, drawing on theories and offering strategies that will best fit your current concern and you as an individual. I can offer fresh perspectives and approaches to help you make a change in your life, leaving you with a sense of control and empowerment. I can also offer evidence-based treatment to reprocess trauma.
Services
Sessions & Fees
I work remotely with adults, offering sessions via video or telephone. Sessions last 50 minutes and are generally held on the same time and day on a weekly or a fortnightly basis.
The first session would involve a discussion around what's brought you to therapy, what you'd like to achieve from our work and how we can best support you. We will consider which approach might be best for you in this session.
It's important to feel comfortable with your therapist so it would be a chance to decide whether I am the right therapist for you. There would be no commitment to continue with sessions following this.
Further sessions can be arranged on a short-term basis (from six sessions) or on an open-ended basis (no specified end date) with regular reviews to ensure you are getting the most out of your sessions.
My standard fees are £55 per session for individual therapy and £75 per session for relationship therapy.
I am able to offer reduced rates for students or those on a low income - please contact me to discuss this.
I am a registered provider with Aviva and Vitality Health insurance.

Testimonials
"Liz is an amazing therapist who helped me a lot during our time together. From the start, she created a caring and supportive environment where I felt comfortable opening up. Liz has a very kind and empathetic presence but also pushed me to challenge my thoughts and think about the roots of my issues in a new way. Liz provided me with effective tools and techniques for coping with anxiety and taking control of my mental health. By the end of our sessions, I always walked away feeling more self-aware and confident about my ability to manage difficult situations."
"Liz massively helped me to get to know my emotions and truly understand how I feel, in a way that was compassionate and easy to understand.
