Clinical Supervision

The BACP Ethical Framework defines supervision as:

"A specialised form of mentoring provided for practitioners responsible for undertaking challenging work with people. Supervision is provided to ensure standards, enhance quality, advance learning, stimulate creativity, and support the sustainability and resilience of the work being undertaken."

I offer a free fifteen minute telephone call for you to get a sense of whether I'm the right supervisor for you.

Following this, the first session would be an opportunity for us to discuss how you work as a therapist, what you'd like from supervision and how I can best support you to get the most out of your sessions.

There would be no commitment to continue with sessions following this.

Sessions can be held over the phone or video on a fortnightly or a monthly basis, in-line with BACP requirements and, whilst I am in training, my fee is £40 per 50 minute session.

I am a BACP accredited Counsellor with experience working with individual adults in services including the NHS, Mind and other not for profit organisations and charities.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a Clinical Consultant at an EAP provider, providing clinical reviews and case discussions with Counsellors.

I am currently completing a Diploma in Clinical Supervision at The Awareness Centre in London.

I use the seven eyed model of supervision and much like my approach as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I adapt my supervisory style to meet the needs of the supervisee.

I aim to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to reflect on clinical work and consider what might be outside of your awareness in the therapeutic space with a view of enhancing your practice and increasing confidence.

At the same time, I believe quality supervision involves an element of challenge where appropriate to facilitate learning and growth.
